Blues 13 - 20 Jaguares, Auckland

Jaguares sealed their first win over a New Zealand side as they defeated Auckland Blues 13-20 in their Super Rugby encounter on Saturday.

The win has taken Jaguares to the second position in South African Conference while Blues continue to struggle at the last position in the New Zealand Conference.

Blues suffered an early setback in the game when Akira Ioane in the 13th minute for collapsing a Jaguares maul and a minute later, Jaguares opened their account with a try from Agustin Creevy.

Despite being one man down, Blues managed to dot one down with Tumua Manu making most of the long pass from Stephen Perofeta as the first half ended with a 13-5 lead for the home side.

In the 54th minute Jeronimo De La Fuente breached the defence and eventually offloaded to Emiliano Boffelli, who touched down to bring the gap down to three points and soon they stormed into the lead with Tomas Lezana's 62nd-minute try.

Nicolas Sanchez kicked a conversion to make it 13-17 and with another penalty kick in the 67th minute, he sealed a seven point victory for Jaguares.
