Scorecard

Jaguares successfully managed to overcome Bernard Foley heroics as they registered a 27-40 victory in their Super Rugby encounter against Waratahs at Allianz Stadium on Saturday.

The visitors dominated the first 15 minutes with Pablo Matera and Matias Orlando crossing over while Nicolas Sanchez slotted a penalty and a conversion to make it 0-15 for Jaguares.

After Foley and Sanchez exchanged penalties, Waratahs lost Ned Hanigan temporarily when he was sin-binned in the 28th minute. Benjamin Macome's touchdown in the 31st minute extended Jaguares' advantage but his efforts were negated by Israel Folau's try that came in the 36th minute.

Jaguares suffered a major setback just at the stroke of half time with Guido Petti Pagadizaval and Benjamin Macome were sin-binned in the 38th and 40th minutes respectively. At half-time, Jaguares had a lead of 10-25.

With Jaguares having two men less, Waratahs made a stunning comeback with Foley scoring back to back converted tries to bring down the gap to just one point.

Even though, Foley kicked another penalty, tries from Agustin Creevy and Matias Moroni along with a conversion and a penalty from Sanchez proved enough as Jaguares completed a 13 point victory.
