Ireland have created history on Saturday at the Soldier Field when they registered their maiden Test victory over the back-to-back World Champions New Zealand in 111 years.

The Barrett brothers made a significant contribution in the game and took New Zealand to a four-point trail by the 64th minute but Ireland through Robbie Henshaw's try took the game away from the All Blacks at the closing stages.

It was Jonny Sexton, who scored the first points in the game with a penalty in the third minute but the All Blacks struck back with centre George Moala's try few minutes later.

All Blacks prop Joe Moody was sin-binned in the seventh minute and Ireland made full use of it with flanker Jordi Murphy and CJ Stander strolling across the line while Sexton managed to add a conversion.

With Beauden Barrett and Sexton exchanging penalties, the 10-point lead of Ireland remained intact and it swelled to 17 points by half-time when scrum-half Conor Murray scored a try in the 33rd minute following Sexton's conversion.

The difference was down to 11 points when Beauden added the extras.

Beauden's brother Scott Barrett made an significant impact on his debut when he rumbled past the post and with the fly-half converting it, New Zealand managed to close down the gap to four points with 15 minutes to go in the game,

However, it was Henshaw, who scored the decisive try and with the debtuant Joey Carberry coming off the bench and scoring his first conversion, Ireland registered a 11-point win over the All Blacks.
