England internationals Dylan Hartley, Nathan Hughes and Joe Marler will all face disciplinary action after they were cited following the recently concluded round of the European Champions Cup.

England and Northampton Saints hooker Hartley, who already has faced 60 weeks of suspension in his career has been charged for striking with the hand on Clermont Auvergne prop Rabah Slimani and if proved guilty he might face suspension ranging from two weeks for low end, four at mid-range and between eight and 52 for top end.

Wasps man Hughes has been accused of dangerously tackling Harlequins fly-half Marcus Smith, while Marler is charged with alleged use of the elbow on Will Rowlands of Wasps in the same match.

Both Hartley and Marler were sin-binned for their offence during the game and now along with Hughes will attend the disciplinary hearing on Wednesday according to a statement released by European Professional Club Rugby.

The news will be a concern to England boss Eddie Jones as the red rose team are set to host Argentina, Australia and Samoa at Twickenham from 11th November.
