Leicester Tigers back-row Guy Thompson is set to make an exit from the Gallagher Premiership club at the end of the ongoing season according to a report.

Thompson joined Leicester Tigers ahead of the 2018/19 season from Wasps and went on to make 33 appearances for the club scoring seven tries. However, his participation this year has been restricted following a neck injury followed by the outbreak of the coronavirus that had disrupted the ongoing season.

“To have the opportunity to have worn a Leicester shirt was something special in itself,” Thompson told BBC Radio Leicester.

“But I’m not done with the game, I know that I still want to play.”

“There’s a few opportunities that have presented themselves, and that’s what I’ve got to look forward to.”

Earlier, the club announced that former South Africa Under 20 international Cyle Brink will head to Welford Road ahead of the 2020/21 season which will strengthen the back-row for the Tigers.

Leicester endured a tough Premiership season after they managed just four wins from the 13 rounds that were completed.
