Gloucester confirm departing players ahead of 2023/24 season

Gloucester Rugby have confirmed that five players including scrum-half Ben Meehan will be leaving the club ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Meehan already was worked with George Skivington when the latter was part of London Irish and joined the club in the 2021/22 season and has gone on to make 42 appearances for the club. He will now leave the club to return to Australia to be closer to his family.

Georgia international centre Giorgi Kveseladze will also be leaving the club after joining them in 21 times while featuring in 27 games for the Cherry and Whites.

Gloucester Academy graduates, Alex Craig and Henry Walker also will be leaving the club after playing in 49 and 63 matches for the club respectively.

Apart from the four players, Kyle Moyle also join the list of departing players after joining them from Cornish Pirates in the 2020/21 season. He went on to earn a full-time contract for the club and has featured in 43 games until now.

Billy Twelvetrees, Ben Morgan, Jordy Reid, Jake Polledri and Tom Seabrook were already confirmed to leave the club in the summer.

Meanwhile, the club also confirmed that T Rhys Thomas will be joining as a forwards transition coach from Cardiff ahead of the new season.
