Scorecard

Gloucester Rugby went on to claim the pole position in Pool 1 of the European Challenge Cup after thrashing Benetton Treviso by 0-41 on Saturday.

The game was switched to training ground after the pitch at Stadio Monigo was deemed unplayable due to frozen surface. Gloucester fans were helped by the local fans to the new ground, which was four 4km away from the scheduled venue.

James Hook and Richard Hibbard were the try scorers for Gloucester in the first half while scrum-half Greig Laidlaw scored a penalty and two conversions taking a 17-point lead for the visitors.

Centre Matt Scott (58'), Hibbard (62') and centre Billy Twelvetrees (80') were the try scorers in the second half with Billy Burns adding conversions on two occasions to complete a 41-point win for Gloucester.

Gloucester top Pool 1 with 20 points and are closely followed by La Rochelle with 19 points. The Aviva Premiership club will host Bayonne at Kingsholm next weekend in their final pool game.
