Ireland will miss the services of Garry Ringrose and Iain Henderson for the final round of the Six Nations game against England on Saturday due to injuries.

Ringrose sustained a head knock during the closing stages of the previous round game against Scotland when he thudded against the hip of Scotland's Blair Kinghorn.

He has been a vital cog in Ireland's unbeaten run in the competition having featured in all 80 minutes during their wins over Wales and France.

“Garry Ringrose is doing well today and has returned to Dublin," read an IRFU statement.

"He will take no further part in this year’s Championship.”

A return from injury after a long lay off for Robbie Henshaw will be a huge boost for Andy Farrell as he may partner along with Bundee Aki for the clash against Steve Borthwick's men.

Meanwhile, Henderson is set to undergo a surgery on his broken arm while Dan Sheehan and Ronan Kelleher suffered shoulder injuries. Farrell has named Leinster's Ross Molony as a replacement for Henderson in the squad with Ulster hooker Tom Stewart also called up as a cover for Sheehan and Kelleher.

With four wins from as many games, Ireland are the only team in the competition to have a chance to clinch the Grand Slam.
