Wallabies flanker Fraser McReight has signed a new contract with Rugby Australia and Queensland Rugby Union until 2025.

McReight made his provincial debut with Brisbane City in 2018 and went on to make his debut for Queensland Reds in 2019. He is closing in on his 50th cap for his state having captained Queensland for the first-time last season.

He has played 47 Super Rugby games and has scored seven tries. He also captained Australia A side last year. He also captained the Junior Wallabies side that finished runners up in the 2019 U20s World Championships in Argentina and was awarded back-to-back Australian U20s player of the year awards in 2018 and 2019.

The 24-year-old also represented Australia on 10 occasions.

“I love playing for Queensland, it’s my home, so I’m super excited to be able to play here for another two years," he told Rugby Australia's website.

“This team has plenty left to achieve and I want to be here when we do. I’m really enjoying my time here working hard with the boys and the staff, which makes coming into work very enjoyable.”

“I love representing my state and country and that’s my first priority. It’s an exciting time in Australian Rugby with a new coach, World Cup and Lions tour coming up. I’m looking forward to being a part of it.”
