London Irish have secured the signing of fly-half Rory Jennings ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Jennings, a product of Bath Academy, graduated to the senior squad in 2014 and went on to play for London Scottish and Coventry. He went on to join Clermont in November last year following a loan stint with Leicester.

“The opportunity to join London Irish was an exciting one and I can’t wait to get going,” said Jennings.

“After chatting with Declan, I knew this would be the right move for me. I’ve seen the new stadium on TV, and it looks like such a great place to play rugby. I’m really looking forward to playing there in front of the London Irish supporters.”

The 25-year-old also had represented England at Under 16, Under 18 and Under 20 levels.

London Irish director of rugby Declan Kidney believes Jenning's experience will be benefitting the club as they look to build towards the 2021/22 season.

“Rory has picked up some good experience, both in England and France, and is a good addition to the squad especially now with the loss of Theo to the squad” he said.

“His ability to play at fly-half and in the centres gives us some more selection options and we are very happy that he has chosen to join us.”
