The Rugby Football Union (RFU) has handed a two-week ban to Firwood Waterloo Ladies back row Danielle Wiseman following an incident in the recently concluded Tyrrells Premier 15s League encounter against Loughborough Lightning last weekend.

Wiseman accepted the charge of pulling the hair of an opponent during the second half of the game which Loughborough Lightning went on to win 30-19.

The chair of the panel Antony Davies said in an RFU statement released on Thursday: "The player accepted the act of foul play at the outset and the panel has found that, while this was a deliberate act, there was no intent to injure the opponent.

"The panel assessed this as being a mid-range offence and gave full mitigation on account of her guilty plea, clear record and remorse. She is suspended for a period of two weeks."

Firwood Waterloo Ladies are languishing at the ninth position in the table after losing all the four games this season.
