Excess snow causes postponement of Anglo-Welsh Cup final between Bath and Exeter

The final of the Anglo-Welsh Cup between Bath Rugby and Exeter Chiefs were postponed due to excess snow and ice at Kingsholm.

A statement released by Premiership Rugby confirmed that the decision on postponing the game was made keeping in mind the safety of the players as well as the supporters.

"Today’s [Sunday's] Anglo Welsh Cup Final between Bath Rugby and Exeter Chiefs has been called off, due to the adverse weather conditions. The decision has been made with the safety of supporters, players and officials in mind.

"An announcement about a new date and arrangements for ticket holders will be made in due course."

Earlier, Bath entered the final after edging out Northampton Saints 13-12 in the semi-final at Recreation Ground while Exeter Chiefs defeated Newcastle Falcons 20-17 at Sandy Park in the other knock-out game.
