Bath Rugby have confirmed that England international Sam Underhill has signed a new deal with the Gallagher Premiership club until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Underhill joined Bath ahead of the 2016/17 season after playing for Gloucester and Ospreys in the past.

He has overall played 85 times for Bath and represented England in the 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cups. The 27-year-old also started in all of the five Six Nations games for England earlier in the year taking his Test appearances to 35 matches.

“I'm really pleased to be staying here. Bath feels like home and it's an incredibly special place to play," he told the club's official website.

“This group has loads of potential and I'm excited to see where we can go.”

Bath head of rugby Johann van Graan was pleased with Underhill remaining committed to the club.

“Sam is world-class. He is one of the best players in Europe and is an exceptional openside flanker. I am very glad he is staying at Bath.”

Bath are positioned second in the Gallagher Premiership table with eight wins from 14 matches.
