Harlequins have announced that England international Marcus Smith has signed a contract extension with the Gallagher Premiership club.

A product of Harlequins Academy, the 24-year-old made his senior debut with the club in the 2017/18 season and has gone on to make 140 appearances for them scoring close to 1300 points.

The 24-year-old was pivotal in the club winning the Premiership title in the 2020/21 season where he finished as the leading points scorer with 278 points.

He also represented England at the U17, U18 and U20 levels before making his Test debut against USA in 2021.

“I love the Club, it’s been my home since the age of 14 and I want to repay the faith shown in me and help Quins win trophies. We have unfinished business, we want to challenge for titles and create more memories for our supporters," said Smith to the club's official website.

“The Club has always been a very special place for me and my family. Working my way through the Academy and into the senior squad has been a great experience and I have loved every minute of it.

"I can’t wait to pull on the Quarters next season and run out at The Stoop.”
