England have included number eight Nathan Hughes in the starting line-up for the upcoming Six Nations clash against Scotland to be played at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Hughes, who has recovered from a knee injury will take the place of injured Sam Simmondswhile the rest of the line-up remains unchanged from the game where they went on to defeat Wales 12-6.

Prop Joe Marler, who has returned from a ban has been named on the bench. England skipper Dylan Hartley is set to surpass Jonny Wilkinson to become the second most capped player for the red rose team while Joe Launchbury is on the brink of his 50th Test appearance.

"We are really excited about this game," said head coach Eddie Jones.

"We will need to be very tough and relentless in our defence to keep the pressure on his Scottish team.

"Nathan Hughes has worked hard on his fitness.

"I've never seen him in better physical condition, so we are looking forward to seeing him playing. Nathan has a key role in defence and in us gaining momentum in attack."

England: Brown; Watson, Joseph, Farrell, May; Ford, Care; Vunipola, Hartley, Cole, Launchbury, Itoje, Lawes, Robshaw, Hughes.
