England coach Eddie Jones has recalled Sale Sharks centre Manu Tuilagi in the starting line up for the third round of Six Nations game against Wales to be played at Twickenham Stadium on 26th February.

Tuilagi was sidelined with a hamstring injury that he sustained in November and was forced to miss the opening two games of the competition against Scotland and Italy but now is in line to play his first game this year after he made a successful comeback for Sale Sharks having played the last two Premiership matches for them.

Meanwhile, Courtney Lawes, who is undergoing a return to play protocol has been included in the 25-man squad by Jones while Jonny Hill is also part of the squad as he is undergoing rehab on a fibula injury.

"Just having a power running centre would give us a different option," Jones said before naming his 25-man squad.

"Everything we're doing now is about trying to create opportunities through finesse and that's through good running lines and passing.

"But to have someone who can take you forward quickly and engage two or three defenders then allows you to try and finesse extra space, which would be really useful to us.

"When you've got smaller centres you've got to be much better at your running and support lines and passing. I think we're making some progress there.

"We've had three centres play and I think Sladey has been very good. Joe Marchant and Elliot Daly have had their moments, but we need to get more out of that and we understand that."

Sam Simmonds, who is recovering from a hip injury will not be training this week but is expected to be fit for the game against Wales.
