Bath Rugby have announced that full-back Darren Atkins has signed a contract extension with the Gallagher Premiership club.

A product of club's pathway, Atkins graduated into seniors squad in 2018 - two years after he made his first-team debut.

Atkins has since gone on to make 28 appearances for the club.

“I’m really pleased to be staying at the club and to have the opportunity to continue developing my game,” he told the club's official website.

“The club means a lot to me and with the changes that are coming next season, I’m looking forward to seeing where we can go as a group.”

Meanwhile, the club also announced the signings of young talents in JJ Tonks and Louie Hennessey ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Tonks is a product of Gloucester Academy and went on to win a silver medal at the Commonwealth Youth Games with England Sevens ahead of England Under-18s and Under-20s honours.

Hennessey will join Bath from Cardiff Rugby and also featured for Wales Under 18 side and Hartpury in the past.
