Crusaders 50-3 Sunwolves, AMI Stadium
Crusaders continued their winning streak as they thrashed Sunwolves by 50-3 in their Super Rugby encounter at AMI Stadium on Friday.
Despite, a sin bin to Seta Tamanivalu, Crusaders managed five tries in the first half with winger Manasa Mataele crossing over thrice Kieran Read and Ben Funnell being the other scorers. Fly-half Richie Mo'unga added conversions on two occasions as the hosts amassed 29 points.
A 26th minute penalty from Yu Tamura were the only points for the visitors in the game as they failed to gain any momentum.
Peter Samu, Whetu Douglas and George Bridge were the try scorers in the second half with Mo'unga adding a conversion while Marty McKenzie kicked two extras to take Crusaders to 50 points and completed a massive 47 point win.
Crusaders continue to top New Zealand conference while Sunwolves are at bottom of Africa 1 Group.
