England prop Alex Corbisiero will again miss out on international action in this autumn's international Test series after suffering a shoulder injury this weekend.

It has been announced on Tuesday that the Northpton loose-head tore the ligaments in his shoulder during the Saints convinving win over Bath this Saturday.

According to his club, the 26-year-old will be out "until at least early 2015."

The injury news is another blow for England coach Stuart lancaster as it now looks like he will be without Corbisiero, along with Mako Vunipola, Dan Cole and hooker Tom Youns, all from the front row.

The American-born prop also missed this summer's tour of New Zealand through injury and was hoping to impress against the southern hemsiphere this autumn in a bid for a starting World Cup spot in 2015.

With only 19 caps to his name so far, having first played in 2011, 'Corbs' has been around the England elite squad for a long time, with a list of injuries providing the modest cap count.

However, perhaps Alex's greatest exploits to date came not in the English white, but in red, as he impressed greatly for the British and Irish Lions during last season's summer tour of Australia.

He recorded two starting Test match caps and then scored the opening try in the final and decisive Test win.

Lancaster's side will play four Test matches during November, against New Zealand, South Africa, Samoa and Australia.

England's 2015 Six Nations campaign begins on Friday, 6 February against Wales.
