As the half-time was approaching, Etene Nanai-Seturo touched down as the teams went into the break with a 19-6 scoreline.

The Reds tried to press hard in the second half and kept the ball in Chiefs' territory and were rewarded in the 56th minute when Taniela Tupou crossed over but could not manage any more breakthrough as Chiefs completed a 19-13 win.
