Cardiff Rugby have suspended director of rugby Dai Young with immediate effect.

According to a report, the club's players and staff members were announced of the decision on Friday.

It is reported that the decision was taken during the board meeting on Thursday after they received a number of complaints from employees against Young.

It also means Young will not be part of the club's upcoming United Rugby Championship fixture against Ospreys at Principality Stadium on Saturday.

Young, who made close to 150 appearances for Cardiff as a player initially coached them for eight seasons between 2003 and 2011 and helped them lift the European Challenge Cup in 2010.

He made a shift to Wasps becoming their director of rugby before returning back to Cardiff in 2021.

Cardiff are yet to make an official announcement.
