Canterbury today offered England Rugby fans the chance to secure a very special backstage pass to the official England Rugby World Cup Shirt Launch at Twickenham by pre-ordering the greatest shirt ‘never seen’.

Whilst the design of the shirt remains a closely guarded secret, every fan who demonstrates their commitment by purchasing the shirt ahead of the launch will be entered into a draw to attend the official shirt unveiling event.

The day at Twickenham Stadium will see the committed supporters integrated with players who will then provide an exclusive tour of the famous England changing rooms.  There will also be seats reserved for the supporters at the official press conference and media unveiling of the new Rugby World Cup shirt.

The initiative forms part of Canterbury’s Committed to the Rose campaign which brings to life the brand’s commitment to the game in this special Rugby World Cup year.

Fans will be able to choose from different versions of the new shirt when pre-ordering, including the Pro shirt, a comfortable replica version of the shirt worn by the players, and the Classic version, which offers a new look on a traditional collared rugby shirt.

Fans will also have the chance to own a piece of Rugby World Cup history, by purchasing the limited edition Commemorative RWC Test Shirt, a special version of the innovative match shirt worn by the England team. 2,015 of these special memorabilia items will be made available to supporters through selected retailers, marking the arrival of the historic home world cup.

Speaking about the initiative, Canterbury CEO, Chris Stephenson, said; “Having supporters at the official launch of the England shirt demonstrates how the fans are at the heart of our campaign as the nation commits to the rose. Having a chance to meet the players who’ll be carrying the nation’s hopes this summer is a wonderful opportunity that we’re proud to share with England rugby fans”.

With over 100 years of rugby expertise, the Canterbury team have designed their most innovative shirt yet to help Stuart Lancaster’s men put in their best performance at the Rugby World Cup on home soil.
