Saracens star Ben Earl is expected to be available for England's Six Nations campaign next year.

The 25-year-old sustained the injury in the training session ahead of Saracens' Gallagher Premiership victory over Harlequins at The Stoop last weekend and was seen leaving the field on crutches.

Earl underwent a scan following the game which revealed medial meniscus damage and underwent a surgery on Tuesday.

Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall revealed that Earl is expected to return to action in January.

“Ben had a minor knee procedure this morning. We anticipate he’ll be out for between four to six weeks. Overall I think that would be a good result,” said McCall.

Meanwhile, the club also revealed that Elliot Daly, who missed last weekend's game has returned back to full training while Alex Lozowski is set to undergo surgery next week after sustaining an ACL injury.
