The fixtures for the upcoming season of the Aviva Premiership was announced on Thursday with Gloucester hosting Leicester at Kingsholm in the opening game of Round 1 on 2nd September which will be followed by Newcastle and Sale Sharks clash.

However, there will be a lot of attention on 3rd September when the newly promoted Bristol will take on the Harlequins at Twickenham in the London double header while the defending champions Saracens will begin their campaign against Worcester in the later part of the day.

Bath will lock horns with Northampton on 3rd September and Wasps will have a home fixture against Exeter on 4th September to round-off the weekend.

Director of rugby at Bristol Andy Robinson was pleased to start their campaign in the Premiership in the London double header.

"Seeing the fixtures really gets the juices flowing," said Robinson.

"We're pleased to be involved in the London double header on our first game back in the top-flight, it's always a day that provides entertaining, competitive rugby."

Bristol, who faced a relegation from the English Premiership in 2008/09 season, made a successful comeback to the elite club after eight years following their victory over Doncaster Knights in the two-legged final of the RFU Championship.

"The key for us this season is to enjoy our rugby and embrace the challenges that await us," said Robinson.

"We're looking forward to playing at a fantastic stadium in front of our supporters, who we know will travel in great numbers to Twickenham."

Widely regarded as the most competitive rugby union league in the world...it can only be the Gallagher Premiership.

The division is becoming more and more exciting as each year passes by so who will be lifting silverware at Twickenham in May?
