Australia head coach Michael Cheika has made one change to the starting line-up for the upcoming Rugby Championship clash against Argentina to be played at GIO Stadium on Saturday.

Rob Simmons, who was on the bench in the game South Africa has been named in the XV alongside Adam Coleman in the second row with Rory Arnold dropping out of the matchday 23 squad.

Simmons' place on the bench has been taken by Izack Rodda, who made his Wallabies debut in August during the clash against All Blacks in Dunedin. Rugby league convert Marika Koroibete is set to make his debut for Australia, if he is called upon from the bench and has taken the place of Curtis Rona.

"Rory's work-rate needs to be higher," Cheika said.

"Consistency is king. We've had some good leads but we haven't been able to be consistent through the games and I want to make sure that every player knows that.

"I want him [Koroibete] to get the ball and take someone on, that's when he's so good.

"His strength is that he's got some serious ability when it comes to carrying the ball at the opposition."
