Argentina have received a much needed boost ahead of their clash against Scotland at Murrayfield Stadium on Saturday with veteran fly-half Nicolas Sanchez returning to the squad.

Sanchez was not part of the original squad as he suffered a calf injury during the first of the three-Test match series against Scotland in July.

The 34-year-old underwent a surgery and has now been declared fit for the game against the Dark Blues.

Having made his debut in 2010, Sanchez has featured for the Pumas in 90 Tests and represented them in the 2011, 2015 and 2019 Rugby World Cups.

Meanwhile, Francisco Gómez Kodela has been dropped out of the squad following a 13-20 defeat to Wales at Principality Stadium last weekend.
