New Zealand back row Ardie Savea is among the four players shortlisted for the World Rugby Men's Player of the Year Award.

The 30-year-old has been instrumental in New Zealand's ongoing Rugby World Cup campaign where they are set to face South Africa in the final on Saturday.

Savea has scored three tries for the All Blacks in the competition and is second in the runs and third in the offloads made.

He is joined by France's Antonie Dupont, who claimed the prize in 2021 and Ireland centre Bundee Aki, who scored four tries guiding them to the quarter-finals.

South Africa's giant lock Eben Etzebeth will complete the nominations for the award.

Meanwhile, Ireland's Andy Farrell, New Zealand's Ian Foster, Fiji's Simon Raiwalui and South Africa's Jacques Nienaber have been shortlisted for the Coach of the Year Award.

New Zealand duo Mark Tele'a and prop Tamaiti Williams along with talent South Africa fly-half Manie Libbok and French wing Louis Bielle-Biarrey are nominated for the breakthrough player of the year.

The nominees for women's player of the year will be named at the conclusion of the WXV tournament.
