Bath Rugby have confirmed the addition of Andy Robinson and Stevie Scott to the backroom staff ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Former England and Scotland head coach Robinson had already worked with Bath as head coach between 1997 and 2000 and led them to a Heineken Cup victory during that phase.

He was appointed forwards coach of England and was deputy to Clive Woodward with the World Cup-winning England side in 2003 and was the acting coach in September 2004 when Woodward resigned.

The 59-year-old also had a spell with Edinburgh before taking in charge of Scotland between 2009 and 2012 and now returns to Bath Rugby after working with Bristol and Romania.

"I'm glad to be back at Bath and I'm looking forward to making a change on the pitch," said Robinson to the club's official website.

"There's a great group of players here and I'm excited to see what I can achieve with the team."

Meanwhile, Scott has been appointed as the new scrum coach.

In 2010, he transitioned to the Premiership and assumed the role of a coach for Sale Sharks before later relocating to Scotland to serve as an assistant coach.

Additionally, he has garnered experience with Utah Warriors and Watsonians, further enhancing his expertise as a specialized coach. His extensive knowledge and background make him an invaluable addition to Bath's scrum, contributing vital experience to the team.

"I'm delighted to be joining Bath Rugby. I think it's a really exciting time for the club and thankful for the opportunity to work with top-class players and coaches," said Scott.

"Bath is home to some of the best forwards in the Premiership and I'm looking forward to a successful season."
