Andy Cosslett set to become next RFU chairman

Rugby Football Union (RFU) has confirmed that Andy Cosslett has been nominated unanimously for the post of chairman.

The 61-year-old is set to replace Bill Beaumont after the former England captain left the role to join as the chairman of the World Rugby.

Cosslett has the experience of being the chairman of the England Rugby 2015, the committee which organised the World Cup 2015.

A statement released by the RFU revealed that Cosslett was proposed unanimously by the committee and his appointment will be decided in the RFU Council meeting on 14th October.
