Wales have confirmed that prop Samson Lee has been released from the autumn international squad following a hamstring injury.

The 25-year-old last played for Wales during the Six Nations clash against Wales in March and was expected to play some part in the ongoing November series. However, the Welsh Rugby Union has confirmed that Lee has been released back to Scarlets for further rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, Leigh Halfpenny, who sustained a concussion during Wales' 9-6 win over Australia last weekend at Principality Stadium will undergo return to play protocols.

"It is envisaged the injury would prevent him from taking any part in Wales' remaining two autumn fixtures, so he has been released back to the Scarlets for further treatment." a statement released by the Welsh Rugby Union said.

With wins over Scotland and Australia, Wales will hope to end the autumn international campaign well with the final two games scheduled against Tonga and South Africa on 17th and 24th November respectively.
