Toulouse 42-27 Wasps, Stade Ernest Wallon
Scorecard

Toulouse maintained their winning streak in the ongoing European Champions Cup competition after defeating Wasps 42-27 at Stade Ernest Wallon on Saturday.

This is Toulouse's fourth win from as many games as they reclaimed the top position in Pool 1 while Wasps are yet to win a game this season as they languish at the bottom.

The French side got off to a terrific start as Yoann Huget intercepted a pass to score the opening try in the first minute but Wasps hit back strong with a 11th minute try from Josh Bassett that had a penalty and a conversion from Billy Searle on either side.

The momentum once again shifted towards the French side with Antione Dupont offloaded to Joe Tekori, who dotted down in the 14th minute and eight minutes later they got their third try with Romain Ntamack contributing this time.

A 27th minute try from Willie le Roux kept the visitors in the game as they narrowed down the gap to two points before Thomas Ramos and Searle traded penalties to complete an eventful first half.

Scrum-half Dupont helped Toulouse achieve try bonus point in the 43rd minute but his effort was negated by Ross Neal two minutes later as the gap between the teams remained two points. Two penalty kicks from Thomas Ramos either side of a Dupont try proved enough as Toulouse completed a 15 point victory.
