This year’s Rugby World Cup being held in England offers TalkingRugbyUnion a unique opportunity to showcase the talents of its staff, it's contributors and its rugby friends. The TRU team have five media accreditations for the group stages and will be looking to provide unique rugby analysis for all games attended.

The games being covered are from all corners of the country and will allow TRU to regularly update you with latest news on all teams and players. The official Talking Rugby Union website is also currently undergoing modifications so it is fully responsive and ready for the World Cup and will also feature a brand new Live Scores feature to keep readers up-to-date with all scoring changes in World Cup matches.

Each day of the tournament we will have original and exclusive content; including expert analysis from pro players, ex-players (we have exclusive access to an ex British & Irish Lion) and our excellent team of regular contributors.

We will be talking rugby to current players throughout the tournament, many who have featured on our Emerging Talent sections. Forthcoming interviews we’ll feature on the site include Mike Haley, Joe Ellyatt, Will Addison, Ben Mosses, Matt Riley, Tristan Labouteley, Carl Fearns, Sean Dougall and many others.

In addition, we have also embedded reporters within and around a variety of the RWC teams to give the latest views from the training ground as the tournament progresses.

Finally we will also be in clubhouses throughout the UK to gauge and report on the grassroots fans' view of the Rugby World Cup round-by-round.

To cover all the elements of a home nations World Cup we will be using a full-range of the latest tools in social media including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Periscope, AudioBoom and You Tube – so make sure you are following Talking Rugby Union on all available platforms to allow us to provide you the most comprehensive coverage possible.

Talking Rugby Union aims to be a site that not only showcases and analyses playing talent but also supports emerging journalistic talent as well. Here at TRU we see the upcoming World Cup as a fantastic opportunity to work towards both of those goals and we’re excited to continue our work in the online rugby community over the next few months.
