London Irish have released nine players including Stephen Myler at the end of their current contract.

Myler joined London Irish in 2018 from Northampton Saints in 2018 and is third in overall list of point scorer in the Premiership behind Charlie Hodgson and Andy Goode. He has amassed 266 points in two seasons and was appointed co-captain for the 2019/20 season.

Scott Steele joins the departure list and has been with the Exiles six seasons scoring 115 points while Franco van der Merwe will depart after making over 50 appearances.

The others to leave the club include Dave Porecki, Saia Fainga'a, Alivereti Veitokani, Bryce Campbell, Pat Cilliers and Tom Stephenson.

“I would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the players that have left London Irish for their service and dedication, each having made a valuable contribution," said London Irish director of rugby Declan Kidney.

"They have all been a real pleasure to work with, and as they head into new challenges, I wish them nothing but the very best.”
