Sharks 50-22 Sunwolves, Kings Park Stadium
Scorecard

The Sharks bagged seven tries with four scored in the second-half to claim a 50-22 Super Rugby bonus-point victory over the Sunwolves at Kings Park on Saturday.

The Sunwolves never gave up and created several scoring opportunities, but poor finishing let them down.

The Sharks were on top from the start as they enjoyed a comfortable 21 points lead in the half-time.

Makazole Mapimpi (8, 48) scored a double, while Akker van der Merwe (28), Lubabalo Mtembu (35), Jacques Vermeulen (54), Sibusiso Nkosi (67) and Cameron Wright (74) scored a try each.

Lomano Lemeki (44), Wimpie van der Walt (58) and Will Tupou (77) scored tries for the Sunwolves.

It was the Sharks' first victory of the season as they snapped a three-game win-less streak at home.

Despite a gutsy effort from the Sunwolves, this was yet another away defeat for the Japanese team.
