Leicester boss Richard Cockerill has confirmed flanker Julian Salvi will leave Welford Road this summer.

The 29-year-old Australian has rejected the offer of a new contract with the Tigers, and is now tipped for a move to France or Exeter Chiefs.

"The saga around that is what it is," Leicester's rugby director Cockerill told the BBC.

"Julian is moving on, that's life."

Salvi joined Leicester in 2011, but could now follow Tigers team-mate Geoff Parling in switching to the upwardly-mobile Chiefs.

Leicester meanwhile have already recruited Opeti Fonua and Lachlan McCaffrey from London Welsh, Mike Williams of Worcester and Brendon O'Connor from the Blues to bolster their back-row for next term.
