Dragons 17 - 26 Glasgow

Finn Russell kicked 16 points off the tee to help Glasgow beat Dragons by 17-26 at the Rodney Parade stadium during the 2016-17 Pro12 clash on Friday.

The fly-half slotted four penalties in addition to converting two tries scored by hooker Corey Flynn (28) and prop Alex Allan (50).

In response, the hosts managed to match the visitors in the tries tally. However, in the end it was Russell's penalties which turned out to be the difference between the two teams.

Prop Sam Hobbs (42) and centre Jack Dixon (47) scored tries for the Welsh side. Fly-half Nick Macleod slotted a penalty in addition to converting the two tries.

The win helped Glasgow to climb up three places in the points table to the third position, whereas the Dragons are positioned seventh after managing just a solitary win from five round-robin games.
