Wandies 31 - 21 Exeter Braves

Northampton Wanderers clinched their second Premiership Rugby A League after they went on to beat Exeter Braves 31-21 in the final.

James Grayson kicked a third-minute penalty to get Wandies off the mark but Exeter Braves bounced back with a try from Moray Low in the 14th minute and a conversion from Morley made it 3-7.

Wandies reclaimed the lead with a 25th-minute touchdown from Lewis Ludlam but Tom Lawday restored the six point lead for Exeter when he dotted down in the 29th minute allowing Morley with the conversion. However, Grayson kicked back to back penalties in the 30th and 40th minutes as scores were levelled 14-14 heading into the break.

Exeter showed a better intent at the start of the second half when Matt Kvesic crossed over in the 48th minute but his efforts were negated by Jamal Ford-Robinson, three minutes later.

The third try for the Wandies came in the 53rd minute through Paddy Ryan and Grayson kicked a conversion and a penalty to complete a 31-21 win for Northampton and their second successive Premiership Rugby A League title.
