Newcastle Falcons have confirmed a 13-man squad that will compete in the upcoming edition of Premiership Rugby 7s to be played in Northampton on 27th and 28th July.
Glen Young, Simon Uzokwe, Adam Radwan, Ben Stevenson and George Wacokecoke have retained their places after participating in the last year's edition and will be accompanied by promising and young talents.
Tom Marshall, Rob Farrar, Cameron Nordli-Kelemeti and Will Montgomery - all from England U18 - have made the cut while Zach Kibirige, who was called up to the England Sevens side for the Rugby European Sevens Grand Prix Series event in Lyon is also named.
Connor Collett, James Elliott and Joel Matavesi form the rest of the squad as Newcastle Falcons look to win their second title since they last won during 2011.
“We’ve put together an exciting group of players for the Premiership Rugby 7s and we will be a challenge for any side," said first-team skills coach and academy manager Mark Laycock.
“A number of this group helped us to the final of the World Club 10s in Mauritius where we only lost narrowly to South African Super Rugby side the Bulls in the final, and we have a lot of pace allied to our work rate and creativity.
“We always enjoy playing in the Premiership Rugby 7s, it’s a great showcase for many of our up-and-coming players and we will once again look forward to having a real push at the main prize.”
Newcastle Falcons are positioned in Pool B along with Saracens and Leicester Tigers.
