Scorecard

Munster prolonged their unbeaten European Champions Cup campaign as they handed a record 38-0 defeat to the Leicester Tigers at Thomond Park on Saturday.

The Irish side took a healthy 19-point lead at the end of the first-half after fly-half Tyler Bleyendaal slotted four penalties followed by Simon Zebo's 36th minute converted try. The visitors drew a blank after failing to score a single point in the entire half.

Rassie Erasmus' men extended their domination to the second-half as outside-centre Jaco Taute (49, 56) scored a double with match referee Romain Poite awarding a penalty try on the 71st minute.

Richard Cockerill's men failed to open their account even throughout the entire second-half as they succumbed a heavy 38-point defeat.

Leicester lost three of their players to sin-bin as lock Ed Slater (32), outside-centre Manu Tuilagi (58) and fullback George Worth (70) earned time-out for various infringements leaving their side a man short for 30 minutes which allowed the opponents to score freely.

The two sides will face each other at Welford Road on coming Saturday in the next Pool 1 fixture.
