We take a look at the top performers from this weekend's 6 Nations matches and showcase the British & Irish Lions contenders.

15 Leigh Halfpenny (Wales) - Accurate as ever with the boot. Kicked all of the Welsh points in the game where Wales were unlucky to miss out.

14 Tommy Seymour (Scotland) - The unsung hero of the tournament in the Scottish backline, very consistant and got himself on the scoreboard.

13 Garry Ringrose (Ireland) - Great workrate against a strong defensive line, dazzling feet always managing to beat the first man.

12 Robbie Henshaw (Ireland) - Choke tackling for fun providing some great turnovers, lead the line with his defensive duties, kept the English backline at bay.

11 Liam Williams (Wales) - Plenty of metres made in attack, deceptively strong in defense, especially against France's danger man Noa Nakaitaci.

10 Finn Russell (Scotland) - Lead the way with the amount of carries against Italy with 21, and totalled 11 points. Created space at all times.

9 Kieran Marmion (Ireland) - Big shoes to fill but did it with relative ease. Try saving tackle on Daly, as well as consistant distrubution throughout.

8 CJ Stander (Ireland) - Rampaged into life after a quiet game in Wales, shifted to number 8 which only strengthened his ball-carrying role on the park.

7 Sam Warburton (Wales) - Busy day at the office with the french backline back to some of their electric best, 2 important turnovers.

6 Peter O'Mahony (Ireland) - Jumped into the starting line-up after a last-minute injury to Jamie Heaslip in the warm-up. A deadly mix of emotion, passion and ferocity.

5 Courtney Lawes (England) - Ball carrying wherever possible, tackling immense, putting himself forward for the enforcer of the tournament.

4 Ian Henderson (Ireland) - Try scorer in a game of inches. Solid til the end, great to see him starting in such form for his country.

3 Tadhg Furlong (Ireland) - A bull in the loose, a carrying masterclass from the tighthead. Surely he will take that number 3 Lions jersey...

2 Rory Best (Ireland) - Easily out performed his opposite number in terms of pitch presence, leadership and intensity, standards never dipped.

1 Jack McGrath (Ireland) - A couple of turnovers to his name, along with his typcial solidity at set-peice we've been accustom to in this tournament.
