Scorecard

Jamie George scored a hat-trick as Saracens completed a 38-19 bonus point victory over Wasps in their Aviva Premiership encounter at Allianz Park on Sunday.

The win is Saracens' fifth this season as they move to the top of the table while Wasps continued their struggle as they slipped to 10th position.

Saracens captain Brad Barritt was making his 200th appearance for the club and it was made memorable by George, who went past the line three times setting up the 19 point victory.

It took the European champions just five minutes to get off the mark when winger Chris Wyles went past the line and five minutes later George also crossed over while Alex Lozowski kicked a conversion and a penalty to take them to a 15-0 lead.

Wasps' response came through Marty Moore in the 23rd minute and Rob Miller's conversion brought down the gap to eight points but Lozowski's second penalty ensured the Sarries had an 18-7 lead at half-time.

The Saracens stepped up the accelerator further in the second half with George adding two more tries in the 46th and 64th minutes while Lozowski slotted two conversions and penalties apiece as Mark McCall's men amassed 38 points.

Even though Jack Willis and Josh Bassett scored late tries for Dai Young's side, they succumbed to a 19 point defeat.
