Rugby Football Union (RFU) on Tuesday has confirmed that Leicester Tigers centre Manu Tuilagi has been ruled out of the upcoming England's tour of Australia with a hamstring injury.

Tuilagi was named in the 32-man squad for the tour down under despite sustaining a hamstring injury in the Aviva Premiership semi-final against Saracens at the Allianz Park on Saturday.

However, after undergoing further scans, the RFU confirmed that the 25-year-old will miss the three-Test tour and a replacement will be announced after England's game against Wales at Twickenham on Sunday.

England coach Eddie Jones wished the Leicester star a speedy recovery and hopes his replacement will be able to grab at the opportunity.

"It's bad luck for Manu so close to the tour, but it provides a great opportunity for someone else. We wish Manu all the best and a quick recovery," said Jones.

The first Test between England and Australia commences on 11th June at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane and the remaining games will be played on 18th and 25th June in Melbourne and Sydney respectively.
