Scorecard

Full-back Damian McKenzie scored 20 points as Chiefs trounced hapless Queensland Reds by a 50-5 margin in their Super Rugby encounter at Suncorp Stadium.

The only point for the Reds came in the 20th minute with wing Chris Kuridrani scoring a try but the dominance from Chiefs were too much to handle for them as they conceded five tries in the first 40 minutes. Seta Tamanivalu (1', 36'), Atunaisa Moli (11'), Sam Cane (32') were all the try scorers in the first half apart from the penalty try.

In the second half it was sheer dominance from full-back from Mckenzie, who touched the line on two occasions while hooker Nathan Harris scored the other try as Chiefs reached the 50-point mark.

The bonus point victory allowed Chiefs to consolidate their position at the top of the New Zealand group with a six point lead over second placed Crusaders.

The Reds continue to languish at the fourth spot in the Australian group with 16 points from 14 games with only Western Force behind them.
