Brumbies maintained their impressive run in the ongoing Super Rugby season as they defeated Sunwolves 14-47 at WIN Stadium on Friday,

This is Brumbies' fourth win from five games as they consolidated the top position in the Australian Conference while Sunwolves are at the bottom after suffering their fourth defeat in five matches.

Brumbies opened their account in the 10th minute when Rob Valetini set up Ryan Lonergan in the 10th minute and the scrum-half also followed with the conversion to make the scoreline 0-7.

The visitors went on to double their tally by the 19th minute when Murray Douglas offloaded to Will Miller as he went over the line and Lonergan followed with the conversion to make it 0-14.

Sunwolves were desperate for a breakthrough and they had to wait until 36th minute when Efi Maafu dotted down on his debut that was improved by Garth April but their effort were negated as the Australian side slotted their third try at the stroke of half-time by Rob Valetini as the teams completed the first half with a 7-21 scoreline.

Brumbies were quickest to get off the block in the second half as Tom Banks stepped up and offloaded to Irae Simone, who found Toni Pulu as they raced to a 7-28 lead.

Sunwolves continued to make errors allowing Brumbies to counterattack as a short ball from Lonergan saw Tevita Kuridrani crash over from close range in the 54th minute and Solomone Kata followed the suit two minutes later making the scoreline 7-40.

The final 10 minutes saw Mike Stolberg and Joe Powell trade tries as Brumbies completed a convincing 33 point victory.
