Barbarians Women 19 - 0 Munster Women, Thomond Park

Barbarians Women emerged victorious on their first ever outing as they went on to beat their Munster counterparts with a 19-0 triumph at a wet Thomond Park on Friday.

Munster started the game well but failed to handle the errors efficiently but just before half hour of play, lock Lenaige Corson was held up over the line but the home side were all beaten in the scrum and a penalty try was awarded to Barbarians.

Munster did have opportunities to get their first points but failed to capitalise on it as the invitational side went on to take a lead of 7-0 at half time.

Ireland international Ailish Egan touched down in the 64th minute to further extend Barbarians lead while Megan Goddard slotted the conversion to take the lead to 14 points.

The dominance of Barbarians continued when Nora Stapleton provided a brilliant assist to Georgina Roberts, who went past the line five minutes later though Goddard missed out on the extras as they completed a 19-0 victory.

Barbarians fielded players from seven countries and were coached by England World Cup winner Giselle Mather along with Fiona Stockley as the team manager.
