The Talking Rugby Union offices were quiet this week, with Max Skofic on international duty with Slovenia. Early analysis of Slovenia's two upcoming fixtures are pointing to a home win this Saturday and a potentially tougher away game in Austria. More will follow through our social media channels.

There was a brief discussion about Sale Sharks Under 23's taking on the Ospreys at Erias Park in Colwyn Bay - the debate didn't get too far!! So without face to face debate we turned to Scott Donaldson for his assessment of the key players in Super Rugby and how the data can help fantasy gamers.

Super Rugby Round 9 saw some entertaining games, but who would you like to pick this week based on form. It is interesting to see the names in this team with three teams having a bye and several top performers from other rounds like Duane Vermeulen and Handre Pollard being rested or Pat Lambie being injured.

This team is based on statistics from fantasy rugby website www.testrugby.com using statistical definitions from their website.

Players are only loosely categorised into positions, although Kieran Read and Pierre Spies were the top ranked loose forwards, although they are both Number Eights. Two fullbacks make up the three outside back positions so Francois Hougaard gets included.

The best points scorers for Super Rugby Round 9 were outside backs in Highlanders pair Waisake Naholo and Ben Smith, while Dane Haylett-Petty from the Force also deserves a mention.
