Elliot Daly's touchdown in the final five minutes saw England maintain their winning streak after defeating Wales 16-21 at Millennium Stadium on Saturday. Here are the player rankings from the encounter.

LEIGH HALFPENNY: Moved past 300 career points in the Six Nations for Wales, and proved as dependable as ever. 7/10

ALEX CUTHBERT: Replaced an injured George North in Wales' starting line-up, didn't do much positive to comment on. 4

JONATHAN DAVIES: Sharp throughout the contest, but a poor defensive clearance in the dying moments led to England's winning try. 6

SCOTT WILLIAMS: Did not make the impact he would have liked as defences dominated in midfield. 6

LIAM WILLIAMS: Scored a brilliant first-half try and caused England's defence problems throughout the game. 8

DAN BIGGAR: Produced one of his best Test match displays for a long time. Barely put a foot wrong. 9

RHYS WEBB: Usual livewire presence around the forward fringes, and was heavily involved in setting up Williams' try. 7

ROB EVANS: Did his job after earning a starting place, battling hard opposite England tighthead Dan Cole. 7

KEN OWENS: Had a fine game in the tight and loose exchanges. Displayed a terrific work-rate. 7

TOMAS FRANCIS: Strong in the set-pieces, having a lively contest with England's Joe Marler. 7

JAKE BALL: Prominent at close quarters and consistent in the set-pieces. Continues to perform strongly. 7

ALUN WYN JONES: Wales' captain will be distraught at the manner of is team's defeat. Gave everything. 8

SAM WARBURTON: Dominated the breakdown area in the first-half, but seemed to suffer an injury late on. 7

JUSTIN TIPURIC: Got around the field in trademark fashion, and never stopped working. 7

ROSS MORIARTY: Had comfortably his best game for Wales, highlighted by crunching tackles on Owen Farrell and Maro Itoje. 8

Wales' substitutes all played their part in a battling performance, none more so than Bath number eight Taulupe Faletau, who made his first appearance after injury since Christmas Eve. 7

England -

MIKE BROWN: Among his poorest displays for England, showing a lack of composure. 5

JACK NOWELL: Ran hard throughout and broke the first tackle time and again. 8

JONATHAN JOSEPH: Flung one pass straight into touch and contributed little. 6

OWEN FARRELL: Another high-quality display from a world class player. 8

ELLIOT DALY: Showed his electric pace for match-winning try. 8

GEORGE FORD: Unable to unlock Wales, but managed the game well. 7.

BEN YOUNGS: Will want to forget his intercepted pass that almost conceded a try. 7

JOE MARLER: Tackled like there was no tomorrow. His fitness is improving. 8

DYLAN HARTLEY: Taken off six minutes into the second half. Jamie George is far superior. 6

DAN COLE: The grizzled tighthead veteran stood up on a day when he was needed. 8

JOE LAUNCHBURY: Bulldozing shift full of graft for the powerful lock. 8

COURTNEY LAWES: Mixed display, producing some fine moments, but also faded. 6

MARO ITOJE: Signs of growing into his new role towards the end. 7

JACK CLIFFORD: Replaced early on and threw himself around until then. 7

NATHAN HUGHES: Tossed about at the start, but kept on coming back. 7

Replacements -

It was George who made the biggest impact with his work-rate light years ahead of Hartley's offering. He was involved time and again. James Haskell carried hard and Ben Te'o made an important late contribution. 9
