LEIGH HALFPENNY: Made his first Wales appearance for 14 months after injury, but Australia were gold dust. 6/10
ALEX CUTHBERT: The recalled Cardiff Blues wing had his moments, yet Wales were outclassed in all areas. 6
SCOTT WILLIAMS: Answered a late call to replace an injured Jonathan Davies, and was among Wales' best performers. 7
JAMIE ROBERTS: Made little impact as Australia dominated from start to finish. 5
GEORGE NORTH: The prolific try-scoring wing had few opportunities to impress, and was always tested in defence. 5
DAN BIGGAR: Sin-binned during an opening 40 minutes when Australia took control of the contest. 5
RHYS WEBB: Went off with what appeared to be an ankle injury during the final quarter, and Wales can now only hope it is not a serious problem. 6
GETHIN JENKINS: Captained Wales in the absence of Sam Warburton, but he could do little to stop Australia's dominance. 5
KEN OWENS: Struggled against Australia's well-organised scrum, and there was no way through for the home side. 5
SAMSON LEE: Could make little headway opposite Wallabies loosehead Scott Sio. 5
BRADLEY DAVIES: Work-rate was unquestioned, as usual, but needed to make more of an impact. 5
LUKE CHARTERIS: Not had his best season so far, and he was outshone by Australia's second-row pairing. 5
DAN LYDIATE: Battled hard to halt Australia's attacking dominance during the first-half, but not his day. 6
JUSTIN TIPURIC: Comfortably Wales' best player, especially in the second-half, when he roamed freely. 8
ROSS MORIARTY: Replaced the injured Taulupe Faletau, and drifted in and out of the game. 6

SCOTT BALDWIN: Took over from Owens midway through the second-half. 5
NICKY SMITH: Replaced skipper Jenkins after 59 minutes. 5
TOMAS FRANCIS: Went on for Lee as part of a block front-row replacement. 5
HALLAM AMOS: Impressed after he replaced North with 19 minutes remaining. 7
SAM DAVIES: Won his first cap as a 65th-minute replacement for Biggar. 6
CORY HILL: The Newport Gwent Dragons lock made his first Wales appearance after 64 minutes. 5
GARETH DAVIES: Took over from an injured Webb. 5
JAMES KING: Gained a late run in the back-row instead of Lydiate. 5

ISRAEL FOLAU: Graceful runner hit spaces out wide and did not have much defending to do. 8/10
DANE HAYLEY-PETTY: Prevented from scoring by Biggar pull and spilled pass for another. 7
TEVITA KURIDRANI: Classy finish for first-half try illustrated his danger with ball in hand. 8
REECE HODGE: Broke through at will from inside-centre and and finished delightful move for first Test try. 8
HENRY SPEIGHT: Did not see as much ball as his fellow backs but threatened when he did. 7
BERNARD FOLEY: Creativity decorated contest and scorching break gave him deserved second-half try. 9
NICK PHIPPS: Made the most of his armchair ride by constantly choosing the right option. 7
SCOTT SIO: Held his own against Samson Lee at scrum-time and always looking for work. 7
STEPHEN MOORE: Skipper led from the front and set the tone with first try from driving maul. 8
SEKOPE KEPU: Driving influence in the tight and loose before being withdrawn in final quarter. 7
RORY ARNOLD: Helped Wallabies get on front foot with energetic display in the line-out and around field. 8
ADAM COLEMAN: Impressive line-out force and strong ball carrier when needed to be. 8
DAVID POCOCK: Effective in unfamiliar blindside flanker role before making way at half-time. 7
MICHAEL HOOPER: Solid at the breakdown and usually in the right place to recycle possession. 7
LOPETI TIMANI: Hit hard, scavenged well and powerful with ball in hand. Dominant display. 8

SCOTT FARDY (for Pocock, ht): Able replacement in the back row and showed up well. 7
ALLAN ALAALATOA (for Kepu, 64mins): The young tight-head prop gained some experience late on. 6
ROB SIMMONDS (for Arnold, 65-75mins): Blood replacement added bulk when Arnold was forced off with cut. 6
JAMES SLIPPER: (for Sio, 68mins): Sent on with the game won in the final quarter. 6
NICK FRISBY (for Phipps, 71 mins): Looked lively at the base. 7
TOLU LATU: (for Moore, 76mins): Replaced the skipper in the closing moments. 6
QUADE COOPER (for Foley, 76mins): Little chance to show off his dancing feet. 6
