The Welsh Rugby Union has confirmed that Wales will head to New Zealand for a two-game Test series in July next year.

This will also be Wales' first tour after Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac takes in charge of the side from Warren Gatland, who is set to step down at the end of the World Cup later this year.

New Zealand will also have a new head coach with Steve Hansen also confirming that he will quit his role with the All Blacks after the showpiece event in Japan.

The last time Wales toured New Zealand was in 2016 when they were whitewashed 3-0 by the All Blacks.

Overall, the two teams have faced each other 34 times with Wales managing to win just three out of it and have lost all 10 games against All Blacks played in New Zealand.

The date and venues for the games will be announced in due course.
