Wales head coach Warren Gatland has called-up uncapped fly-half Jarrod Evans in their squad for the upcoming autumn internationals.

The decision follows after there is uncertainty over Rhys Patchell's participation since he suffered two head injuries while playing for his club Scarlets this season.

With Patchell's participation in doubt and Dan Biggar unlikely to be released by his club Northampton Saints for the autumn international opener against Scotland on 3rd November as the game falls outside the international Test window, Gatland has opted for the inexperienced fly-half.

Meanwhile, Ospreys lock Bradley Davies is ruled out of the campaign due to a knee injury as confirmed by a statement released Wales.

"Bradley Davies has been released from the squad to optimise management of a knee pathology.

"Further investigations and assessments will establish Brad's prognosis."

Wales are already without the services of Seb Davies, Aaron Shingler, James Davies, Josh Navidi, Taulupe Faletau, Scott Williams, Hallam Amos and Owen Lane for their November series where they will face Scotland, Australia, Tonga and South Africa.
